Spark-Risk Limited recieved an enquiry yesterday from a major restaurant chain to potentially carry out all thier Fire Risk Assessments nationally. This would see us complete around 10 Fire Risk Assessments a month over a 3 year period to cover the companies property portfolio. Hazards associated with restaurant chains are focused on the commercial kitchen equipment.
The following can greatly reduce the potential of a fire starting;
Test all portable appliances in accordance with The Electricity at Work Regulations (1989).
All fixed electrical equipment and wiring should be inspected and tested in accordance with Fixed Wire Test & Inspection to BS7671.
Test all gas equipment in accordance with The Gas Appliances (Safety) Regulations 1995 (S.I. 1995/1629).
