We received a call from an existing client yesterday who we have done extensive work for in the past, on a large site in the Old Swan area of Liverpool. The site is one of the oldest buildings in the area and in 2013 when we first started work here proofed to be one of the more complex sites we look after. The premises in question had a Prohibition Notice and an Enforcement Notice issued back in 2013 by Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service but after out intervention, the Enforcement Notice was lifted, but the Prohibition Notice still stands due to the layout of the premises. The site is multi-occupied and comes with lots of historic issues that can sometimes take time to resolve. It now has new management in there and there are grand plans afoot to develop the site over the next 24 months. This has secured us some retainer work to be onsite on a regular basis to carry out ongoing fire risk assessments and oversee all things fire safety related.
We will also be servicing all the fire extinguishers and providing training for the new management staff.
