The Spark-Risk office is in regular touch with the management of the national chain of Care Homes we look after, and received a call regarding their home in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where one of their fire doors was causing problems. Not meaning that the door was an angry resident :), but that it was proving difficult to open and close. So we asked Chris from North West Fire Doors if he could call by to have a look at it. And being the good egg he is, he of course said yes.
So Chris and Drew travelled over to the home as soon as they could to carry out their repairs. It was a metal Final Exit door that was binding on the floor, making it difficult to open and close. Chris quickly established that the hinges had dropped so he replaced those, and had to bend the metal frame to make the correct adjustments needed to allow the door to function correctly, and serve the purpose it is intended for. All in all, a relatively simple task for the skilled team from NWFD, but done quickly and in timely fashion to the satisfaction of the Care Home's management.
We constantly work alongside our colleagues at NWFD when we receive enquiries about anything regarding Fire Doors, such as New Installations, Repairs, Maintenance, Assessments & Surveys or Care Plans, all carried out to compliant standards. Contact us regarding issues with fire doors at your business premises and our knowledgable and professional team will look forward to hearing from you soon.
