Spark-Risk were asked to visit a property to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment for a new development on a large site on Prescot Road, Liverpool L13. We have done work for this company before after they received both an enforcement notice and a prohibition notice on the premises about 18 months ago. To his credit, the finance manger has worked tirelessly to bring the very old building back into the 21srt century with massive cost implications, investing in a new fire alarm system, new emergency lighting, fire separation, new fire extinguishers and staff training. This has now paid off as there are other parts of the building which are being developed and we are helping pull everything together from a fire safety point of view. Ironically, the fire officer which served notice on the building some 18 months ago has since retired and now assists Spark-Risk occasionally on the more technical side of fire safety, is coming back to help move the developers forward with proposed building plans. This has again lead to retainer work which will see Spark-Risk Limited visit the premises on a monthly basis to keep on top of all things fire safety. As you can see, this is another example of how the quality of one aspect of our work leads companies to trust us to take care of their other fire precaution interests.
